A night with you

Dear out of the world,

Tonight, let’s sit and lie next to each other underneath this widely spread sky and gaze the stars. Without saying a word, without holding hands, without touching each other, don’t worry I will not hold you in my arms. Let’s not even look each other in the eyes, Let’s not feel each other’s facial expressions, Let’s not hear each other’s breath tonight. But under this dim lit sky we will know we are here for each other, with each other. Let’s sink in this moment. 

Let it be a beautiful cold night, we can hear the noise of waves breaking up at the cost, grasshoppers and crickets are making sound somewhere in distance. Trees are dancing to the rhythm of the wind and leaves are singing to themselves. Soft blown breeze is caressing your face, one of the strands of your hair fell to your face and you tried to put it behind the ears. Let’s not think of anything, nothing at all. Let’s stare at the stars until they look like disappearing and let’s try counting them.


I know, it was my mistake. I shouldn’t have come up with those words, those sentences. I know I screwed you up in the noon. But you were not utter a word for, you were the one who told me to come and meet - you are very sensitive, my love. But I know you’re hurt and my apologies haven’t worked. And maybe they won’t, tonight too .

So, let’s not talk about it at all. About anything. Because sometimes we need this kind of silence. Maybe because it is best thing to do at such times or maybe because some things are better left unsaid. We need this silence so the world around us can come to life. And if we want to share something, lets whisper in each other’s ear because nearby a jasmine in the flower-pot is about to blossom.

And, there it goes… A shooting star. A bright orange(maybe) light moving across the sky. But I don’t want to wish tonight- As my wish is beside me. I just want to see it as its light dies out. Do you know where it has possibly gone? And you whispered in my ear about comets, black holes, the cosmos, twilight and heartbeat. And then another shooting star breaks to my left and with fear and innocence you thought it will fell on us.

We can see the sky moving. Moon marks its presence from west to east. And it started falling morning dew on us. so, Let’s steal quick sideway glances under this white light refracted by the dew. And like every lover out there, moon started giving horizon kisses to the earth. You told me, you felt the whiffs of fragrances – probably due to that jasmine and suddenly It felt like we are between the hues of autumn and spring……..                        

All of a sudden I want to talk to you, desperately. I want to throw my blanket away and get under yours, I want to interlink my fingers with yours, I want to look into your eyes and apologize for what I did, I want to tell you how much I love you, no not love, something better than that. But then Sunrays start’s falling on my face, forced me to come into reality and then I realize I hurt you, I hurt you badly. And you are not with me anymore, you are thousands of light years away from me, just like these stars, tonight.
